Plateau-Mont-Royal Information: (514) 872-2266 At the heart of the work, we find two emigrants : AA, a political refugee, an intellectual, and XX, a manual labourer possessed with the idea of making money to support his family. The two characters, diametrically opposed despite coming from a similar cultural background, spend Chirstmas Eve arguing, holed up in a basement. This confrontation unveils the hard life of an exile, and the social disparity of the protagonists. |
